Well this post is going to be about what has occurred since the last time I posted...so its going to be RANDOM!!!!
First and most importantly...JAY RECEIVED HIS FIRST PAYCHECK!!! On a sad note neither one of us realized that this great state we live in has STATE INCOME TAX....AKA they take approximately $1,000 away from us every month! (Reason #12398239719083 I can't wait to get back to Texas)
On a happier note, I found a little job! I have decided to start selling CUTCO knives! So if you or someone you know is in the hunt for kitchen knives, outdoor knives, or gardening tools! Have them contact me or I can contact them. I will definitely not get rich selling CUTCO but its something I can do on the side since I am enrolled in 3 classes for nursing school.
We have met more friends! Vince & Noelle are getting married next weekend and they invited US! We told them we will try not to steal the show because WE ARE the life of the party! HAHAHA! Jay has been helping Vince a lot with their new house, which is starting to bother me! Let me explain. As you well know, I spend most of the day at home by myself. Jay leaves by 7am and comes home between 3pm-7pm (all depends on what he is doing). Vince will then call Jay and ask him to come help him. Of course Jay does and then guess what???? I AM ALONE AGAIN! Jay and I talked and he totally understands where I am coming from, so now I usually just tag along. But seeing another couple interact has made Jay realize he has it pretty good! Noelle doesn't do ANYTHING around the house except what she wants and she doesn't really work either. But to each his own!
Jay surprised me this afternoon with the coffee table we have both been wanting for my birthday and for me getting into nursing school! We are both in love with it, so much so that we just sat in the living room and stared at the table for about 30 minutes this afternoon. I will try to post a picture of it tomorrow!
We are finally going on a little excursion this weekend. We are going to Paso Robles, which is the new up-incoming Napa. Right now we are suppose to stay through Monday but Fantasy Football is a little more important so we are having to leave on Sunday. I'm not to happy about that if you can't tell.
On a side note, a funny little story(mainly for my dad) from this weekend. As you all know, California is known as a liberal state. Well Jay and I bought this game at Christmas called Say Anything, basically you read a question, write your answer, then everyone votes on their favorite answer. The question that was read was "Who do you think needs to shut up?" EVERYONE playing(about 12 people) wrote OBAMA! Jay and I died laughing and of course had to take a picture!
Sorry this post is so long/random but my Nonna informed me that I wasn't keeping her up to date on our life in California. Hope all is well in Texas and we miss everyone SO MUCH!
Love to you all,
Morgan & Jay
PS I just realized I forgot to put our apartment number when I gave our address so here it is 111 West 9th Street #137 Clovis, Ca 93612

I AM GOING TO BE A BAYLOR BEAR!
I wanted to let those who don't know but I got accepted to Baylor's Nursing school. So I will be moving back to Dallas to live with my parents in January. Its not ideal but Jay and I think it is the best thing for our future. The school is 4 semesters but I will have summer, Christmas, and spring break off and we are going to rack up the airline miles by trying to see each other at least once a month.
Our house is finally starting to come together, so hopefully I will post pictures soon! Also my parents have booked their flight to come see us, so I am SUPER excited!
Love to all,
Morgan

Fresno & Clovis
I was hoping to have pictures ready but our house is in no shape for pictures. So maybe by next week! But I wanted to tell everyone about Clovis and Fresno.
We actually live in Clovis but Jay works in Fresno. They are as close as like Bryan and College Station, so you don't know when you are leaving one and entering the other. Fresno is scary and not safe, lots of gangs and crime. One of my friends I met told me that Fresno is always on Gangland (won't be watching that show). But Clovis is very safe and a has a really cute downtown. I would compare downtown Clovis to Mckinney. Every Friday between May (I think) and September there is a farmers market, which is amazing!!! Jay and I went last Friday and we will be going tomorrow! Here is a picture from the farmers market, I will try and take more this week.
Most of your produce is sold for $1 a pound! You can also buy eggs, cheese, orange juice, herbs, jams, and a lot of other stuff. The most expensive thing we bought was $9 block of cheese!
On Saturday we met our friends Alex and Leonard, their little girl Lily and Alex's family at Bass Lake. If you have never heard of Bass Lake you should look it up! It is so gorgeous! Its at the foot hills of the Sierras surround by huge pine trees. Here is a picture:
I also just wanted to rub in how nice the weather is up here! The mornings are are 68, mid-day around 100, and at night around 70! Hope all is well in Texas! Also our new address is 111 West 9th Street, Clovis, California 93612! SEND MONEY!

Trip Out!
We left Prosper on Thursday the 21st, around 5:30 in the morning. We planned that so we could stop and have breakfast in Vernon with Jenna, McLain, Emerson, and Quinn. From there we drove to Amarillo to hit I-40. Here is a picture of us at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo.
Here is Lil (notice her tongue) and I beside our initials. If you have never stopped at the Cadillac Ranch, its pretty cool. People leave their spray paint, so don't think Jay and I are so cool that we remembered to bring our own. After Amarillo it was on to Albuquerque and an eventful night!!!
On to that story, so Jay has had this "thing" growing on his leg. It starts by itching really bad and then the next morning it looks like a white head (nasty I know). The day before we left a new one had developed, well what do you know on the drive up another one started to develop and by the time we arrived his knee was starting to swell and he was in a lot of pain. SO around 9:30 he decided we might need to see a doctor. Here are the pictures I made him take in the ER.
These things turned out to be folliculitis that became infected with either strep or staph, the doctor wasn't sure, but he prescribed him medicine that ended up helping.
The next day (June 22) we drove to the Grand Canyon. It was about a 7-8 hour drive from Albuquerque. We stayed at The Grand Hotel, which was nice and we recommend it to anyone. We spent 2 days at the Grand Canyon, which gave us time to walk the trail on the outer rim. Here are some pictures from our walk.
family picture (minus Ace sadly)
Jay decided to be artistic and take a picture through his sunglasses
Lily the mountain lion!!!
Cool scenery pic
Lily got tired and thirsty towards the end of our walk
After our morning walk along the south rim of the Grand Canyon, we drove back to our hotel took a small rest and began our next adventure... A helicopter tour! We took an hour long tour of the Grand Canyon that was amazing. Here are some pictures.
After the Grand Canyon, we made the long drive to Fresno. After driving for several days already, this last 10 hour portion was...
REALLY...
REALLY...
REALLY...
REALLY...
REALLY LONG!!!
It was so long Jay even asked me to drive. We finally made it there safe on Sunday night and stayed in a hotel. Monday we woke up early to move in to our new apartment and waited and waited and waited for our stuff and the movers to show up. Finally by the end of the day, our stuff arrived and consequently, we could only unpack a small amount of stuff.
We will try and get some pictures of our condo and also Fresno/Clovis in general.

Moving Update
WE HAVE A HOUSE! We finally decided on an apartment and got approved! Its not the nicest but it will do for six months. It is located in Clovis, CA about 20 minutes from Jay's office. Everyone we talked to told us to live in Clovis because its the more family oriented of the two (Fresno & Clovis). I will try and post pictures of the condo the first week we arrive.
So the official date of the move is July 21. The pod arrives on July 15 and leaves Prosper on July 17 to arrive in Fresno July 25. Jay and I plan on spending the first night in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Then on to the Grand Canyon for the 22-24. We haven't decided where we are going to spend the night of the 24, we could just drive straight on through but we won't be able to get into our house because its a Sunday. Any ideas where we should stop? Jay wants Vegas! I'm thinking Paso Robles, CA! Hopefully we will get to see everyone before we leave but if not we have a spare room in CA!
Until then,
Morgan

We finally gave in...
As most people know Jay and I are in the process of him finishing his masters and moving to California. So after much debate and numerous request (like I know that many people) I have decided to start a blog about our life and the adventure it has become. Before we get to far into my first post I want to warn everyone reading that I am a terrible writer and speller. But my goal with this blog is to bring humor to your day and also keep you informed (like you really care) in the most efficient way possible because lets be honest we all know that I live SUCH a busy life (only joking)! On to more serious stuff...
Jay has recently taken a job with Cargill, which is why we are moving to California. We aren't sure how long we will be there but both of us are really excited, although I must admit a little nervous. We don't know anyone in Fresno and as of today we don't have a place to live yet (sounds like we are off to a great start already)! Oh, I forgot to mention I have no earthly idea what I will be doing for a job either! But we both know that God has a plan for Jay and I and he will put us right where we need to be.
Well I think that will do it for my first post and hopefully I will get the hang of this blogging soon or else...
Love to you all,
Morgan
